When I install the Mozilla Thunderbird email client, I like to install some additions and tweak some settings. This list was last updated when I upgraded to Firefox 24.5.
Thunderbird Extensions
- Flat Folder Tree - Promote folders that are children of the
Inboxand hide the[Gmail]folder entirely. - Google Contacts - Add Google Contacts to the address book when you have a Gmail account.
- NoComposeAccount - Makes you choose an email from the from list so you don't accidentally send from the wrong account.
- Xpunge - Add a button to empty all the trash and compact all folders at once.
